Around the MIAA

Adrian

The Adrian College women’s track and field team ran at the Hillsdale Tune-Up last weekend and saw two athletes set new PRs. Sophomore Taylor Sinclair set a new PR in qualifying for the 60-meter and came in second in the 200-meter with a new PR of 26.43, which ties the school’s indoor record. Taylor moved into fourth in the conference for the 60-meter and second for the 200-meter. Freshman Torrie Summers also set a new PR last weekend, with a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. Summers' time ranks second fastest in the MIAA for the 60-meter hurdles heading into championship weekend.

Alma

Senior Erin Goggins (Hastings, Mich.) reached 3.41 meters on the pole vault, beating the indoor school record by one centimeter at the Grand Valley State University Tune-Up Meet on Friday (Feb. 15).

Hope

The Hope College women's indoor track & field team took second place in the 4x400 relay at the Grand Valley State University Tune-Up on Friday in Allendale, Michigan. It was a non-scoring meet. Junior Nicole Kruithof (Byron Center, Mich.), senior Allison VanderStoep (Holland, Mich.), junior Hailey Pickelheimer (Powell, Ohio), and junior Chelsea Miskelley (Holland, Mich.) clocked a runner-up, non-adjusted time of 4 minutes, 9.44 seconds.


Olivet

The Olivet College women's indoor track & field team finished sixth at the Hillsdale Tune-Up. Sophomore Ariel Floyd placed third and broke the school record with a mark of 49 feet, 10 inches in the weight throw. Floyd also had the fifth-best mark in the shot put (36 feet). Freshman Lillian Albaugh finished second in the shot put (43 feet, 5-3/4 inches). Freshman Laura Tuttle was second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.30. Freshman Kaylee Richardson ran the mile run in a season-best time of 6:12.41.
