Around the MIAA
The Bulldogs will next compete in Florida when the team takes a spring break trip to Orlando in March 4-7.
The Britons will begin the 2019 spring season Saturday, Feb. 23 against Holy Cross (Ind.).
The Scots fell to Cornerstone University on Saturday (Feb. 16), 5-4. Sophomore Brooke Butterfield (Portland, Mich.), sophomore Lucy McCarthy (Rockford, Mich.) and junior Bernadette Garibay's (Lansing, Mich.) all earned wins for Alma.

The Hope College women's tennis won two non-league matches last week, winning, 9-0, at Oberlin (Ohio) and 5-4 at 16th-ranked Case Western Reserve (Ohio). Hope, which improved to 2-1 overall, won four singles matches to rally past Case Western Reserve. At No. 3 singles at Case Western Reserve, freshman Sydney Jackson (Fort Wayne, Ind.) earned a 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 win against Sneha Karham. At No. 6 singles, junior Liz Pniewski (Lowell, Mich.) defeated Shreyaa Mukund, 0-6, 7-5, 6-4.
The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team lost 9-0 at Case Western Reserve University. Case Western entered the match ranked No. 16 in the nation and No. 3 in the central region. Ella Knight had the closest match for the Hornets falling 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 at three singles. Kalamazoo returns to action at home next Saturday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m.
Did not compete. Olivet is back in action Saturday, Feb. 23 against IU-South Bend.
The Belles opened the spring portion of their schedule with a commanding 9-0 win against the University of Saint Francis. Alyssa Gulli and Elizabeth Preister helped set the tone in both doubles and singles play, and they dropped two combined games in singles play en route to clinching the team win.
The Thunder will return to action in the spring against King's (Pa.) March 4 in Orlando, Fla.
