Saint Mary's College's Elizabeth Preister was named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division III At-Large Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) June 19. Priester was selected a Second-Team All-American®, becoming the third Saint Mary's student-athlete to garner Academic All-America® accolades.
Preister is one of Saint Mary's Class of 2019's valedictorians after boasting a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 over the past four years. A four-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll honoree, Preister had a 59-13 career singles record for her career. Priester was the 2019 recipient of the Department of Athletics' Mary Ellen Smith Academic and Athletic Achievement Award.
Student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible.
The Women's At-Large Team nominations are open to student-athletes who have competed in beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, and/or water polo.
