Jami Hubbard, a member of the Albion women's basketball team, was announced as a selection to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Division III Women's Basketball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
With Hubbard's selection to the Academic All-District® team, the senior will be eligible for Google Cloud Division III Academic All-America® honors.
A biology major, exercise science minor and member of the Wilson Institute for Medicine, Hubbard boasts a 3.98 grade point average. A three-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll student, Hubbard is a teaching assistant in the cadaver labs for anatomy classes and works as a tutor for classes offered through the kinesiology department.
On the court, Hubbard was a starter in the frontcourt in all 26 games for the Albion squad that finished 18-8 overall and third in the MIAA. Hubbard averaged nearly eight points per game while shooting 49 percent from the field.
CoSIDA's NCAA Division III District 6 includes Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Members of CoSIDA from the district vote on Academic All-District® honors. Student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible.
