Kalamazoo's Yi Season Ends at NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Singles Championship

Ian Yi, a freshman on the Kalamazoo College men's tennis team, lost in the first round of the NCAA III Men's Tennis Singles Championships at Yi's home courts in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Yi's draw started with No. 3 ranked Jonathan Jemison of Emory. The MIAA Most Valuable Player was unable to pull off the upset, losing 6-3, 6-2 to Jemison May 23 at Kalamazoo's Markin Center.

For the year, Yi posted a 21-5 record at No. 1 singles for the Hornets, and was named the ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year.
