Kalamazoo Falls in Regional Final of NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship

The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team's season came to an end May 11 with a 5-0 loss to No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis in the third round of the NCAA III Championships.

The Hornets started the NCAA Championships with a 5-1 win in the Second Round against UW-Whitewater May 10, 5-1. Alex Cadigan was the lone two-time winner for Kalamazoo, pairing with Tytus Metzler for an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles before a 6-1, 7-6 victory at No. 6 singles for what proved to be the match-clinching win. Ian Yi cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles for the Hornets after Kalamazoo owned a 2-1 lead after doubles play.

Freshman Ian Yi will compete in the 32-player NCAA Division III Singles Championships on Kalamazoo's home courts May 24-26.
