During the regular season a team received three points for
a win, 1 point for a tie and no points for a loss. In the league tournament
a first round win was three points, a semi-final round win was six points and
the championship game win was nine points. When there was a tie in the tournament,
the shootout winner received two-thirds of the alloted points and the loser one-third.
