The MIAA women’s soccer champion shall be determined by a point system in which teams earn three (3) points for a win and one (1) point for a tie in conference play. The team with the most points at the end of the season will be declared the champion. The league’s automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament shall be determined by a four-team, end-of-season, AQ tournament.

Players of the Week
Offensive Players of the Week
Trine forward Kristin Elliott, a sophomore from Wooster, Ohio, assisted on the game-winning goal in the Thunder’s 1-0 victory over Saint Mary’s and also made an outstanding play to set up a goal to give her team the lead in a 3-2 overtime loss to Kalamazoo. Elliott is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Adrian left back Patti Vaassen, a junior from Ann Arbor (Saline HS), continued her strong all-around play with a goal and an assist as the Bulldogs clinched their first MIAA women’s soccer title in school history with a 7-0 win over Olivet. In addition to her strong defense, Vaasssen has scored three goals and added three assists in Adrian’s last four games. She is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time this season and second time in her career.
