Players of the Week
The MIAA has named Hope outside hitter Nora Slenk its Player of the Week and Calvin setter Lauren DeGroot its Specialty Player of the Week in volleyball.
Player of the Week
Slenk, a senior from Holland (Holland Christian HS), earned Player of the Week honors for her strong all-around play in leading the Flying Dutch to a pair of wins last week. She totaled 22 kills, added 16 digs and had a hitting percentage of .541 in leading Hope to wins over Alma and Olivet.
Specialty Player of the Week
DeGroot, a senior from Tulare, Calif. (Central Valley Christian HS), earned Specialty Player of the Week recognition for her play in the Knights’ win over Albion. She dished out 54 assists (13.5 per game) and added 13 digs and two blocks in the match.
