Among the highlights from the 2016-17 season:
- On their home track, Calvin overwhelmed the field to capture its second MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championship Feb. 25. Jenna Dyksen was a three-time winner for the Knights.
- At the 2017 NCAA Championships, Trine's Kara Eck was an All-American in the weight throw, placing seventh with a school-record effort of 17.74 meters. Albion's Angela Morrison (pentathlon) and Hope's Erin Herrmann (3,000m run) were also top 10 peformers in their respective events.
- Calvin's Jenna Dyksen was selected the MIAA Most Valuable Track Athlete after winning the triple jump, 60m hurdles, and 200m dash. Kara Eck of Trine was the winner for both the shot put and the weight throw to win Most Valuable Field Athlete honors.
