• Adrian gathered a 33-8 lead into the fourth quarter with stingy defense and precise offense in their 33-22 victory at Olivet Nov. 4. Jerron McGaw set career bests with 10 catches and 216 yards while scoring two touchdowns for Adrian, while the Bulldogs registered nine tackles for loss, including six sacks, to go with two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

• Hope pounded out 460 yards rushing while holding Albion to just 267 yards of total offense on the way to a 48-10 victory in their home finale Nov. 4. Chris Leigh, Mason Opple, and Brandan Campbell each rushed for over 100 yards and two touchdowns.

• Trine remained unbeaten on the season and clinched at least a share of the 2017 MIAA football title with a 41-6 road win over Alma Nov. 4. Lamar Carswell rushed for 217 yards to fuel the Thunder, surpassing 1,000 yards rushing for the second consecutive season.

• Kalamazoo earned a 13-6 non-conference victory at Rockford Nov. 4 for the Hornets' first victory of the season. The Hornets benefitted from a 170-yard rushing day by Jared Pittman in the win.

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Nov. 6 were:

  - Defense: Zach Telfor, Hope

  - Offense: Jerron McGaw, Adrian

  - Special: Greg Kearns, Kalamazoo

• Trine (9-0) moved up to #23 in the country in the Nov. 6 release of the AFCA national rankings.
